Lets just call off marriage, religion and government altogether.

I think someone who opposed same-sex partnerships could look at that article and say, "See? SEE? They openly state that they want to use gay marriage as the thin edge of the wedge to allowing polygamy!" (If they read that far, which I admit is unlikely.)

Clearly we must adopt gay marriage, if for no other reason than to create a fabulous opportunity to clean up some pretty horrendous database designs.

Any coder appreciates the outside excuse to do a complete redesign from the ground up once they have seen their work under load; this lets you revise without admitting guilt for design mistakes.
