Puppet Karaoke Wall of Valor
Friends from puppetkaraoke.com: Welcome! This is just one of my PK-related posts. You can also:

1. Read my Puppet Karaoke fan blog, specifically
2. Read my whole darn blog.

Without further ado, the Wall of Valor circa early June '07:

Your guide to my past Puppet Karaoke entries.

Edit: since there is such keen interest I've added their song selections.

MIA/POW/OMG/BBQ: Punky Delhi, my first PK effort. "Let's Dance," David Bowie
1. Mindy Pauper, "Puppets Just Wanna Have Fun," Cyndi Lauper (co-creator: Jody)
2. Yip the Dog, "Hound Dog," Elvis Presley (prehensile tongues are love)
3. Dread Pirate Mondrian, "Fly Me To The Moon," Frank Sinatra (Non-representational scourge of the seven seas)
4. Dapper Six, "Life During Wartime," Talking Heads (an interstellar bolshevik)
5. Spudnik, "Ever Fallen In Love With Someone You Shouldn't Have Fallen In Love With," Buzzcocks (has to stay 100 yards from Jodie Foster; low earth orbit suffices)
6. Excessively Wonderful, "Fly Me To The Moon," Frank Sinatra (my first deliberately 2D effort)
7. Dalkon Six, "Hurts So Good," John Cougar Mellencamp (an interstellar birth control device; thin crowd that night - Dalkon Six apologized for "literally killing to get into the show... perhaps too many, too many")

The POGMA-06 aesthetic: all puppets must be built onsite in the "Emergency Puppet Construction Zone." Even thinking about the puppet prior to arrival is frowned upon.

spudnik could be alternately named "potato fuckhead" in homage to [info]glaucon's nevertobeborn child. (what did you do to that poor creature? his head is all implodey...)

#6 is aptly named. what a lovely, lovely puppet. i'm wondering what his/her singing voice sounds like, that is if the ears of mere mortals can even hear it.

as a group, the puppets shine forth, bringing smiles to my day. :-D

> Implodey Spudnik

Spudnik can't really be shown to advantage in only two dimensions. In life,
Spudnik is a paper bag electrical-taped around my wrist, two fingers in his eyeballs. Very expressive, in his way.

Most of the puppets sang in my own voice, with noteworthy exceptions: Yip (an Elvis impersonator), Mindy Pauper (falsetto) and Dalkon Six (who sings about the, uh, pain of love).

Dalkon Six (an interstellar birth control device)

Dude, I just did one of those choke-laughter things. Holy crap, that is hiiiiiilarious!

Thanks! It's good that somebody freekin' gets it. It was... not a good night for Puppet Karaoke. I was the paying audience. Srsly. So they were unhappy. And there was only one woman in the room which didn't help the chances of anybody getting the joke.

They are doing a show soonish in NYC though, in a venue that's puppet-friendly and everything, so that should be awesome for them.

Oh and hey, you were the one who asked the all-important question: "will he pee with the puppet hand?"

I got the Dalkon joke!!! You should see the literature for the new IUDs. Ack!

So what did each of these darlings sing?!?!?!?

I've added that information to the post. Because it's IMPORTANT!
